Our top soil is usually a free flowing loam with around an average acidity level and is good for most plants or grass seed regrowth on.

Generally lifted from farmers or developers that are clearing an area for construction, we sell two grades of soil, an as dug which is generally as it is lifted from the area and may contain stones or organic material.

We also sell a screened soil which has been through a screener and this removes any stones and other material of 20mm and above leaves the soil ideal for spreading in vegetable beds or sowing grass seed onto.

 

When working out your quantity you require, one cubic mtr of top soil will weigh around 2 tons.

We advise that if you order soil that you cover over or use it within two weeks of delivery as it tends to compact and you end up with a large block!

as turf and bulk bags may come with a mechanical offload ( A big arm ! )

All orders placed before 10am will usually be despatched for next day delivery with our own transport
and are priced under the band 1-4 system, or for some products that we send by carrier these will be delivered within three working days if items are in stock and these are described under the zone system 1-7.

We will aim to get all 'out of stock' items delivered to you within one working week of
ordering, although all products in our online products pages are usually held in stock.
